Black Lives Matter

Well where do I even start. I simply cannot fathom how and why there are still racist people in this world. Its disgusting to discriminate a person, a human being due to the colour of they skin. To me it simple doesn't make sense, its truly heartbreaking that so many innocent lives have been lost to such discrimination. 

Police brutality needs to stop, we are not fighting against the police, We are fighting against racism and those officers that act upon their disgusting beliefs!

In my education we only briefly went over racism in history, it wasn't until my A levels in which I studied media, where we did more research in to the portrayal of black people within the media. It was when doing this research I understood how racism is still happening everywhere, its just simply being hidden, forgotten about or simply dismissed all together. Its the awful stereotypes that too need to stop! Everything needs to stop with in the media! They paint a picture that is simply not true. This has gone on for a disgusting amount of years and I truly cannot believe that it this day and age we are still fighting for equality.

During this time, like many others, I am simply signing as many petitions as I can to do with racism, murders and police brutality. I am also going to educate myself further, I am lucky I have never experienced racism so I therefore have to learn about it in order to understand. It breaks my heart, but its amazing that we are internationally coming together to fight to stop this. I hope people will finally listen, people will get justice for loved ones they've lost, murderers will be punished and police brutality will end.

In this post I have repeated the word "truly" a number of times and well as the word "simply" because to be honest it is simple. It is disgusting. I stand with you. 

Lets stop this once and for all.
