Possible triggers
So its different for so many people. Some people found changing your diet helped for example, cutting out dairy or gluten. I know of people who just simply cutting out one or both of these has really helped stop or reduce the pain. When they would treat themselves to one of these food groups they noticed how it triggered the pain.
I tried gluten free and dairy free at the same time; being a vegetarian this made it quite tricky for me however, there are some amazing alternatives out there. Tesco especially was a good place to find food. Despite trying this diet out for a number of weeks it didn't change the pain. However, I think this could be because my body was adjusting to the coil and the mini pill.
Since taking two mini pills a day with still having the coil in place, the pain and the bleeding has really improved. I certainly don't want to speak to soon though!
Obviously one main trigger is being on your period which is why it is so much more manageable when I don't have periods. I also find however, sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time can cause pain. In addition, over doing exercise can trigger a flare up. So I've had to learn to pace my body and really listen to it. I understand though that by decreasing it all and then gradually building it back up again, I can get back to normal.
